The best for upper body is bench press shoulder press and pullups.

Bench press, push ups, pulls up and dumbbells. For bulking you're just going to have to increase your carb intake. (Basically eat more food than you normally do)

Do pushups, or lift weights.
Or even google it.

So much for typical responses.
If you want to gain serious bi/tricep muscle, you'll want to focus on mainly those part(s). I suggest starting off with 3 x 25 (3 sets, 25 reps) sets of dumbbells to warm up the muscle. Don't quickly switch around stations. Do your 3 sets, then move onto bench or whatever other exercise machine you have. Do 3 x however many reps you can do. I suggest putting an amount of weight where it'd be slightly difficult for you to be able to do 25 reps. If you're 150lb., you'll want to start off with around 75 - 85lb. on the bar (45lb. bar)(I'm assuming you don't work out too often, so start off with around 75). However, keeping a good diet plays an important role when trying to gain muscle & possibly lose fat. Drink protein shakes before you work out to give you an extra boost. A good breakfast helps, too. Good luck. |
