Views on Fat/Overweight/Obese people. Their own fault?
#11
When i see someone overweight i have no pity for them, i understand some people might have problems that prevent them from losing weight, but most of them just make bad decisions and choose not to eat healthy and control their portions. The thing i hate most is when someones uses their weight as an excuse to not be able to lose weight. It's called being lazy !

Obesity isn't entirely their own fault, as a number of things can affect your weight. Factors such as genetics, ect.

A lot of it can be down to genetics, but most of the time it's that persons fault.

Statistics show that less than 2% of obese/overweight people have a condition that deters them from losing weight, even then it's only one more barrier to overcome, it is by no means impossible for those people to lose weight, it all comes to discipline and self respect in my books, allowing yourself to be fat shows a lack of self respect and in some cases an apathy for your general health.

I am overweight.
I don't blame anyone but myself.

But it is no reason why you should hate on people that are heavier then you.

It is their fault - it's just harder for EVERYONE to eat healthy now these days, considering 90% of your super market and people around you eat like crap.

Half. It is their choice to eat. Unless they have a disorder or something, it is mainly their own fault.

Also a big problem is all the fast food around here and poverty.
A lot of people are poor so they cannot afford to go out and buy the health food, they can only order food off the dollar menu.

Extreme obesity - Yes

Addictions, Depression - No

I've experienced it first hand.

Some times It can be the persons own fault but not always, They could just have a very slow metabolism, also it can be parents fault for allowing them to get that big.
