Well, I have seen running to be the best way, and a healthy diet. Cardio and eating right will do the trick.

Hire a Personal Trainer at the gym, its easy, cheap, and they make personal workouts just for you based on your physical condition. My personal trainer is only $15 an hour at the YMCA.

Well, there's no magical tricks, most on TV are scams or something you can do yourself, just they organize it for you.
You need a proper diet and exercise.
Meaning eating lots of vegetables and greens and just generally healthy foods.
Do some research to make sure you are still getting the needed nutrients but make sure you steer away from fatty foods and breads.
Chase your dreams, and if it doesn't work, dream a new dream. -Louis “Coach” Presutti

As much exercise as you can do along with a decent diet will always help people loose weight.
It's just a case of wether some people can be bothered to get up and go do it.
Other than this there is surgical treatments to help with wait loss such as a gastric band or lipo suction.
However you should always consult a doctor and try everything else before resorting to this.
It's kinda' used as a "last resort" to wait loss and these treatments have had complications in the past and even left people with infections so severe limbs have needed to be amputated.
Hopefully this will be an eye opener and you'll find the motivation you need.
Good luck =]

Go on a good diet and exercise as much as possible, don't take any drugs or treatments.
