This is a four stanza poem that I just wrote in the last twenty minutes. It reflects my personal life and just about everyone else's too. (It is generic.) Perhaps it is cheesy, I don't know. I think a lot of poems are about the same things: love and regret. But whatever, here it is:
Let me know what you think!
Regret
I wish things happened differently
I wish that things could change
I wish I could go back
And avert this whole estrange.
Life keeps moving forward
Despite my will to stop
Will I ever get her back?
My instincts tell me not.
Why did this all begin?
Why did I do those things?
My questions have no answers,
And yet the truth still stings.
All I have is hope
And the knowledge from before
With both of those to garner
I will not anguish anymore.
I wish things happened differently
I wish that things could change
I wish I could go back
And avert this whole estrange.
Life keeps moving forward
Despite my will to stop
Will I ever get her back?
My instincts tell me not.
Why did this all begin?
Why did I do those things?
My questions have no answers,
And yet the truth still stings.
All I have is hope
And the knowledge from before
With both of those to garner
I will not anguish anymore.
Let me know what you think!
