Show respect to people who are older than you, especially your girlfriends parents, and you will get them to like you. You don't believe me, you don't have to. Although I guess it depends on where you're from.

I know, its just I can't see myself shaking her hand. I respect her and everything.

I didn't see myself doing it either. I then realized that when dating, the impression you leave on her parents if you're a guy really does make a difference. Before I leave my girlfriends house, I always go shake both parents hands and thank them for having me over. No matter how many times I've done it before, it leaves a lasting impression. You might be able to get some trust back that way. Helps show that you really are responsible.

Been here man, back in my teenage years... (20 now.)

Things may be a bit more strict with your GF and her parents allowing her to do something with you alone etc but don't worry, trust is earned not given...

Cheers

I agree. Good manners may seem pretentious, but if done with sincerity it reflects well on the person.

Keep in mind that double standards always apply when a girl is known to be sexually active.

That American thing is pretty hard.

In Estonia, we do not have to give any respect to our parents or listen to them.
They don't know about our partners or care about us being sexually active.

In my experience, it kinda depends on the background of the parent. For one thing, I know if its a girl's parents, they are a heck of a lot more protective than a guy's parents. If the parents have had a different way of growing up, they might not be as strict. I guess you could say it depends on the luck of the draw on what you get...

News: She was terrified today of her father finding out as he gets extremely mad. If she is hurt by him I'm going to get her out of that house and take her back to mine. I don't want to hurt her father as I respect him but I will not allow him to harm her.

Let the police handle that crap, I had the same problem with my ex.

Her father and older brother constantly beat her and when I saw it with my own eyes.
I contacted a old cop I knew from old times and they did a good job.
