i myself was under anesthesia which when i wake up makes me vomit for hours.

I was under anisthesia, if it ruptures, all your bodily waste goes into your open stomach cavity, auseing mass infection and usually death. No side effects to having it removed, slight pain for a few days. But it is a useless organ, I'm glad it didn't rupture because I live out of town and probably would have died.

Oh, I just remembered there was this kid in one of my classes in middle school. His appendix ruptured I think, and he was gone for like a month and a half or something. When he came back he had staples all up his stomach-area and was considerably thinner. It was crazy.

Well KTM if it had ruptured, You would be in even more pain than before You would feel like crap and wanna die, but in all actuality I think if it ruptures it takes about 20-30 mins before it kills you. Although I could be wrong but Sorry to hear that man. Glad your feeling better, Here's to a speedy recovery.
