Surf Anonymously with Modified Firefox
#1
A group of coders with privacy concerns has just released a modified version of the popular Firefox browser - called Torpark - that allows users to surf the internet anonymously.

Every few minutes, Torpark causes a computer's IP address to appear to change. IP addresses can be used to track down individuals along with other information. Many websites also keep track of users' IP addresses, and may issue bannings based on the IP number.

The browser was "hacked" by a group of coders who call themselves Hactivismo, and Torpark can be downloaded at http://torpark.nfshost.com/. It is a modified version of Portable Firefox, which allows you to run Firefox off of a USB memory stick on a computer.

The downside to Torpark is that it is still a bit slower than normal browers, even if you are using a fast internet connection.

Torpark looks similar to the regular version of Firefox, except that it displays the current IP address that would be seen by other websites. It also has a "Flush Tor" button that allows you to reset the IP number shown.
