Thanks for all the nice replies!
Sure, I started out with a sphere, then sub divided it (twice I think). Then I selected half the head (left side) and deleted it. I then applied a mirror modifier and began selecting points and pulling them where I wanted them to go.
Once I had a basic head, I added many cuts to the nose and mouth area. I then shaped the edges to make the face, nose, eyes, and mouth. When it looked good, I used the sculpt tool to make the lips look realistic, and added a particle system to the head for the hair.
Would anyone like me to post a basic head to start modeling?
