Something I wrote for my parents

Title: I am nothing to you.

I am your son,
I am your slave.
I do what you say;
I must obey.

I pretend to listen while you scream,
While I burn inside as you destroy my dream.

I might run off, we will never know.
But if I do, to hell I shall go.

Or maybe it's freedom?
Freedom from the hate,
the fighting,
the stress.
Freedom from the hell you put me through.

I don't love you, you're not even my friend.
You may think you are, but it's just pretend.

As I write this, I keep saying to myself,
"Why, oh why haven't I killed myself?"
