I've lost very close friends to me that were practically family to me and I went through a lot of depression. It's hard to take a close loved ones death especially with they are family, but the one thing you need to do is stay strong. I know some people get other not so smart ideas by smoking, suicidal, drinking, and etc. But I am telling you from my own experience, none of that is the answer. Try releasing your emotion to sad/depressing music which releases your emotions and gets you thinking about the future and the past. It really helps out a lot when my friends and I have lost close loved ones. If that does sooth your needs, then you can always talk about it to someone.

Seeing as this is the emotional support thread and it's support forums I'll explain in very little detail something that happened.
Last year shortly after my mom passing away , and losing my bestfriend in a tragic accident I decided there was no point to life and tried to commit suicide , I was found with a needle in my arm unconcious and rushed to hospital , I've been recovering slowly and I'm now back at maximum health but did I regret the things I did , no.
Why? because for those moments I was gone I saw my mom and I saw sam , it made me happy and they told me that this isn't what they wanted and I think that's what brought me back.

Don't give up on life. I know seeing that you lost close loved ones, doesn't mean that you should kill yourself for it. Try to stay strong and find something to do that keeps your mind off of it. Death is a terrible thing, but never a excuse to do the same to yourself.

I feel sorry for you mate.
One of my friends has lost his mom, and he have never knew his daddy.
It seems like a very tough phase to get through.
You sound like a strong person though.
I know you can make it bud.
I don't really know anything else to say, but good luck with it.
I wish you the best.

You lost your mom a year ago, and your age says your 25 currently? I've been through the same thing, lost my mom at the age of 6 years old and had to grow up without a second parent. It's a tough feeling, you'll get over it though. Saying this because I've had that feeling at a much younger age than you. (Except for the part about getting married and having kids.) I'm sure others are worse off as well, so it's no good dwelling about the past, there are things you just need to learn to overcome by yourself.

Sin, I can't believe your 17 and you manage to live by yourself!
OT:
I am sorry for your loss. My uncle was killed on his motorcycle, yet we never learned the cause of his wreck.
