lol I know lots of people on youtube do a subscribe for a subscribe service on their own, and end up with tons of subs that way. I don't really go looking for subs anymore, just whoever likes my videos, and they subscribe on their own.

Attention meaning lots of different things though. Not always just personal attention. People do it for business, and other higher level reasons too
