Apple Cinema Display on Hackintosh
#1
Hello all.

I've got a Apple HD Cinema display that I want to hook up to my soon-to-be-built hackintosh and I was wondering if I would run into any compatibility issues. I know these displays don't work when plugged into a regular PC (Most of the time, as far as I know...), and I was wondering if there's a specific type of graphics card I need for it to work.

And when I say "work", I mean everything has to work. Not only the display, but I want the OS to recognize it as a HD display, and the power button on the display should be able to put the machine to sleep or shut it down.

Any help is appreciated,

Heli0s

I did some research and uncovered that any graphics card manufactured with Nvidia chip sets should do the trick. Not sure, though.

UPDATE:

I used an EVGA GeForce 9500 GT and it works completely fine. Controls the computer through the power button and brightness buttons.

If your Netbook has hardware that can support the operating system, then yes.
