So I've been trying to get my finances in order for a while now, and I've finally found a few things that actually help me stay on track. I thought I'd share them here in case anyone else can benefit or has more tips to add. First off, I started using a simple spreadsheet to track my expenses. I know, I know, it sounds super basic, but there's something about manually entering those numbers that really makes you think twice about that extra coffee or impulse buy. Plus, I can customize it however I want, which is a bonus. There are tons of templates out there if you need a starting point. Another thing I did was set up a couple of sinking funds for stuff like car repairs, travel, and even holiday shopping. It feels great to know I have money tucked away for these things, and I'm not scrambling at the last minute. It's like a little insurance policy for future me. Lastly, I've been using cashback apps and reward programs way more. I mean, if I'm spending the money anyway, why not get a little something back, right? Anyone else have tips or strategies they swear by? Let's help each other out!
