anyone else obsessed with soundtracks?

i've always been a sucker for movie soundtracks. there's something magical about how music can elevate a film scene from memorable to iconic. like, can you even imagine jaws without that suspenseful theme? lately, i've been rewatching some old favorites and paying extra attention to the music. just revisited the lord of the rings trilogy and wow, howard shore's score still gives me chills every time. not to mention, the harry potter series. john williams truly outdid himself with hedwig's theme - it just transports you straight into the wizarding world! i'm curious, what are some of your favorite film scores? do you prefer the classics or are there any recent gems that have caught your ear? let's geek out over some music! 🎶
