a damp, drizzly day here and I’m hauled up with a good book… there’s something about the sound of rain lightly tapping the window and the smell in the air that I find so calming. anyone else find that? Like is it just me or does rain create a whole different atmosphere?

and lets not even talk about adding a good book in to the mix. literally heaven!! I’ve got this bangin’ fantasy novel I’ve been slowly chipping through (no spoilers please!) and it’s just making this whole day chef’s kiss ya know?

speaking of books tho, I’ve got a whole shelf that I’ve either not read yet or just moved on to something else more interesting. It’s like my to-read pile is constantly growing but my just-read pile is falling far behind 😂 anyone else got this problem? Is there a special way you keep track on what to read next? or you just grab whatever catches your eye next?

also, I’m curious, what are y’all reading at the moment? always open to new suggestions and genres, unless it’s horror, I can’t do horror. Things go bump in the night enough without adding extra imagination fuel… ya feel me?

anyway, have a great day everyone! and don’t forget to share what you’re currently reading, or some rainy day book recommendations. The sound of rain and a good book, it’s like they were made for each other 🤔

Absolutely get what you’re saying about the rain! It’s like kneading bread or popping bubble wrap - super calming and satisfying. And about that ever-growing ‘to-read’ pile, oh man, the struggle is real. I’ve got a stack teetering on my nightstand that I swear is eyeing me guiltily every night.

And hey, if you’re into fantasy, have you ever tried reading anything by Brandon Sanderson? Currently I’m in the middle of “The Way of Kings” and it’s a trip! Not horror, promise. Give it a shot if you haven’t already.

Anyway, enjoy your reading and the lovely rain!

Oh, the pleasure of the rain and a good read, couldn’t agree more! That guilt-tripping book pile though, it’s the same story over here, lol. Trying to get through the “Dune” series these days and it’s like a marathon!

Brandon Sanderson, eh? I’ve heard good things, “The Way of Kings” has been on my radar. More of a sci-fi person myself, but fantasy is refreshing sometimes, right? I’ve added it to the ever-growing list. No promises on when I’ll get to it though!

Keep cozy with those books, mate, and let the guilt-tripping stack wait. Cheers!

Ah, the infamous book pile. Yeah, I’m no stranger to that either. Stacks of books everywhere, the never-ending list. ‘Dune’, huh? Quite the journey, I reckon. I managed to finish it last year, stick with it, worth it in the end.

Oh and Sanderson! Don’t get me started, awesome writer. Though I am more of a fantasy person, sci-fi does get my attention from time to time. ‘The Way of Kings’ is one humdinger of a book, you’re in for a treat whenever you get around to it. But hey no rush, we’re all drowning in books here, lol.

Alright mate, happy reading, don’t worry too much ’bout that ever-growing pile. It’s more about the journey than the destination, right? Cheers!

Oh man, Dune’s an absolute trip, innit? And Sanderson, bloody brilliant. His world-building alone is top-tier. Totally get what you’re saying about the never-ending book pile. Mine’s starting to resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa, ha! But ya know, there’s something quite comforting about it. Like a blanket fort of stories waiting to wrap you up. You’re bang on about the journey, mate. It’s all about getting lost in those pages. So here’s to us, the book pile survivors! May our towers grow tall, our coffee stay strong, and our reading lights never dim. Cheers!
