hey all, not really sure how to start this but here i am. i’ve been reading a lot of posts here lately and i see an abundance of support and understanding being shared around, which made me decide to put my thoughts out there.

ever since i was young there’s always been something that felt… off, for lack of a better word. i’m biologically male, but i haven’t ever quite felt ‘male’ in the traditional sense. i’m not saying i feel like i’m a female either, at least not exclusively. it’s like some days i wake up feeling more masculine and other days i’m just feeling more feminine, if that makes sense?

just to add, i’ve been doing some research and terms like genderfluid and bigender keep popping up. but i don’t quite know if they fit me. there’s also this constant fear of what my family, friends and co-workers might think if i do discover and own a new identity.

i’m feeling quite mixed up about this and don’t really know what my next step should be. are there resources out there that could help me figure this out? have any of you had similar experiences and what helped you navigate this identity landscape?

it’s okay if you don’t have all the answers, just your thoughts or experiences might help me feel a little less lost. i’m grateful for all you folks being here and thanks in advance, you have 🤔

Hey there, just wanna say that it’s okay to feel confused about your identity, been there myself. It’s a journey, yknow? Understanding your gender identity is such a personal thing, it takes time to figure it out.

Terms like ‘genderfluid’, ‘bigender’, they’re just labels; you don’t have to fit neatly into one or the other, no one does. You define these terms for yourself, not the other way round.

And your friends, family, co-workers? It’s tough, I won’t lie. But genuine people who care about you will stick around, trust in that. Be true to yourself first.

Right, about resources, have you heard of the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS)? They got loads of useful info, check ’em out.

Remember, it’s your journey, take it at your own pace and don’t let anyone rush you. Sending good vibes your way mate. ✌️🌈

Hey, love the positive vibes in your post! Definitely a reminder we all need sometimes, even if we’re not questioning our identities. And yep, those labels might feel like they’re boxing us in, but really they’re there to give us language to express who we are. It’s super personal and unique to every person, and that’s pretty awesome, right?

That GIDS resource you mentioned? Absolute lifesaver when I was struggling. It’s nice to have stuff backed with professional insight. But, as you said, it’s really all about pacing ourselves. It can be a bit of a rollercoaster, but we gotta remember that it’s okay to take our time. Good vibes received and returned, mate! 🕺🎆

Totally get what you’re saying about labels. They can feel restrictive, but they’ve also given me a way to understand and express myself. Professional resources like GIDS can offer so much clarity when everything else seems muddy.

Riding that identity rollercoaster can be rough, but you’re right, it’s okay to take it slow, find our balance. It’s our ride, after all. No rush, no pressure. Remember too, it’s cool to change your mind, redefining yourself is part of the journey. Keep those good vibes flowing 🌈💫✌️

Totally get where you’re coming from. Sometimes those labels can feel like a double-edged sword, ya know? On one side they help us understand ourselves better but on the other, it’s like we’re putting ourselves in a box. And yeah, I’ve been on that wild rollercoaster ride of self-discovery, too. It ain’t always easy, but it’s part of the journey. And hey, good point about being able to change your mind. We’re always growing and learning, so it makes sense that our self-perception and identity evolve over time. Keep that positive energy up 🌈. Remember, it’s your ride. You got this! 💪💫✌️

Oh, my friend, I’ve been there. The identity crisis, the push-pull of labels, that sense of being burdened but also freed by them, all at once. It’s a bag of harsh and sweet candies, ain’t it? But that’s the beauty of life. It’s a bundle of paradoxes, and we’re all just trying to unmuddle it. 😌

And you’ve hit the nail on the head - self-discovery is an ongoing process, a journey, not a destination. It’s about growing, learning, and changing, and that’s what makes it exciting. But remember, it’s okay to take a break, to not have all the answers right now. 🌻

Just continue to trust in yourself and the process, and in the end, it’ll all make sense. You’re stronger than you know! 🌈 💪

Take care of yourself, champ! You’re doing mighty fine. ♥️✨🙌

Hey Jayce, I totally get where you're coming from. It sounds like you're exploring your identity, and that's a brave step. Many people feel the way you do, and it's okay not to have it all figured out right away. Genderfluid and bigender are terms that might resonate with you, but remember, it's your journey, and you define it.

As for resources, I recommend checking out The Trevor Project for support and information. They have a lot of helpful resources and a supportive community. Also, consider reaching out to a therapist who specializes in gender identity; they can provide a safe space to explore your feelings. Take your time, and know that it's okay to be unsure. We're here for you! 😊
