Don’t know about you guys, but I’m really struggling with these feelings of loneliness. Even after all the lockdowns and isolations (it’s been over a year now since the first one right?), it’s like I’m still not quite able to shake off the feeling of being on my own.

There’s always this undercurrent of loneliness, you know? Like even when I’m hanging with friends or family and laughing, it’s still there. I mean yeah, laughing helps in the moment but it’s got me wondering if it’s just a temporary relief or if I’m just pretending, you know?

Sometimes I wonder if it’s just me or are there others feeling the same? How are you folks dealing with this? I mean, are there any go-to coping strategies? Or perhaps, this is just the new normal?

Has anyone else used online therapy or other professional help to tackle these feelings? Reading is my usual escape but lately, even books don’t seem to provide a respite.

I’m kind of hoping to hear that I’m not alone in this. Anyone else been there? What’s helped you move through your feelings of loneliness?

Also, is it just me or is the world just a bit lonelier than usual, even post restrictions and all? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey, I totally feel you on this. It’s like even when things are getting back to “normal”, it’s still not the same, right? You’re definitely not alone. I found that diving into hobbies and reconnecting with old friends helped push those feelings of loneliness aside a bit.

I also tried online therapy. It took some getting used to but it really helped to have someone to talk to about everything. Don’t worry about keeping your feelings bottled up - there’s no harm in getting help. What’s ‘normal’ has changed so much, it’s okay to feel a bit lost navigating through it all.

And hey, maybe the world is a little lonelier, but remember, we’re all in it together. Keep going, we got this.

I totally get where you’re coming from, mate. And to be honest, I think a lot of us are feeling a wee bit off-kilter these days, even with things coming back around. I mean, after everything we’ve been through, I guess it’s to be expected right?

Diving into hobbies, now that’s something I definitely found a lot of comfort in. Mine was jamming on the guitar, poor neighbours had to put up with my blues riffs lol. You found yours yet?

And props to you for trying online therapy! Takes a lot of guts to open up and seek help. Just don’t forget to go easy on yourself, okay? We’re all just trying to adjust to this new normal, and it’s more than okay to feel lost along the way. You’ve got this!

Hey there, first things first, major kudos for engaging in online therapy. That’s no small thing, believe me, I’ve been there done that! And about the hobbies, it’s a great way to rediscover yourself during this weird time. I picked up gardening myself, something calming about getting your hands dirty, y’know?

And you’re absolutely right, the transition can be tough. The whole “new normal” thing is definitely an adjustment for all of us. Feels like we’re all on the same journey, just at our own pace and we’ve just gotta remember to take it a day at a time, right? Hang in there, friend. We’re all in this together.
