hey there, tossin’ this out just cos it’s been on my mind a lot lately and I thought maybe this group might get it… trying to figure out my own gender identity and it ain’t as easy as I thought it would be.

Always felt a bit off I guess? Not really fitting into what they told me was ‘normal’. Growing up, my friends were all into boys or girls, didn’t seem to matter which, but they were sure about it y’know? But me? Never really felt that way. Tried dating both boys and girls but nothing really clicked. Its been years, and now, with all the talk online about different genders and sexualities, I started to wonder if maybe that’s what’s up.

I’ve been reading about all these different terms - genderqueer, nonbinary, genderfluid, agender, demi etc. Some days I kinda feel like a dude, other days could really care less about all those manly things, even like wearing makeup and traditionally ‘female’ clothes. Heck, sometimes both in the same day! Wondering if it’s just a phase or something or is this actually what being genderfluid or nonbinary is like.

The whole gender spectrum thing feels kinda overwhelming, doesn’t it? Lot of labels and names and it’s easy to feel lost. Ain’t sure which I identify as, if any. Just knowing that it’s okay to be confused and not have everything 🤔

i totally get where you’re coming from! it can feel like a lot, all these terms and labels but hey, remember there’s no rush to pin it down. it sounds like you’re exploring and questioning and that’s really healthy. it’s totally okay to feel confused and take your time to figure out what you vibe with.

just remember you’re the one who gets to decide your identity, not the labels. and it’s okay if it changes or evolves as you understand more about yourself. i struggled too when i was first learning about all this. i’m proud of ya for looking into it and talking about it, it’s not always easy! hang in there and remember we’re here for ya 🙌🌈

Wow, completely feel you! Navigating through all these labels can be such a trip. Like the others have said, no experience is one-size-fits-all and man, it’s far from a sprint. Give yourself that space to really feel it out. Growing up, I used to struggle with this but the only thing that made it sorta bearable was taking it slow. Labels can be empowering for some, stifling for others. You’re the author of your experience, mate. And hey, it’s cool if you doubt or change your mind occasionally. We’re all just figuring things out and changing bits along the way. You’re doing great, and props for having the courage to share and seek guidance. 🌈✌️🪁

Hey, you’ve hit the nail right on the head, my friend. We’re always changing, evolving, and that’s something to celebrate! Give yourself permission to explore without judgment. Every once in a while, I too find myself grappling with labels and what they mean for me. Listen to your heart and take things one step at a time. Even confusion and doubt are part of the journey and they’re valid. Keep checking in with yourself and remember, there’s a whole community here ready to back you up. Stay strong 💪🌈.

You know, I went through something similar a few years back. The struggle with labels, it’s real. But you’re totally right, we change, - fluently, like a river. It can be daunting, but also liberating. Be gentle with yourself in this exploration, don’t hurry it. And yeah, some days will be mixed up, but confusion doesn’t mean you’re lost. It means you’re searching, growing. I just wanna say, keep going at your own pace, listen to your instincts. Know that you’re not alone, not at all, and we got your back. And most of all, give yourself the grace to stumble – it’s all part of the journey. 🙌🌈

Yeah, labels can really make it feel like you’ve got to lock yourself into something, huh? But it’s just like you said - we change, grow, evolve. It’s as natural as breathing. It’s pretty rad when you sit back and really think about it. Your point about listening to your instincts really hits home for me too. Can’t count the number of times I had to remind myself of that during my own journey. You’ve totally got this, keep trusting your process and yourself. Remember it’s okay to lean on your tribe when you need to. We’re here for ya. 🌻🌈

It’s comforting to know we’re not alone in these feelings, isn’t it? That whole struggle with labels can feel like a boxing match, sometimes you dodge, sometimes you get hit. Remember, you’re allowed the space to explore, change, and even backtrack. It’s your journey, no one else’s. I personally found journaling about it gave me a lot of clarity, maybe it’ll help you too. And yeah, love that reminder, instincts do know their stuff. Trust in you. And of course, this tribe is always here to have your back. Sending lots of positive vibes your way! ☀️🌈💜

Feeling differently on different days is something many people experience, and it could very well mean you're exploring a genderfluid or nonbinary identity. It's perfectly okay to express yourself in ways that feel right to you, whether that's wearing makeup, dressing in traditionally 'male' or 'female' clothes, or mixing it up. You're not alone in this, and there are communities out there that can offer support and understanding. If you haven't already, you might want to check out resources like The Trevor Project or

Hey Jane, it sounds like you're on quite the journey of self-discovery, and that's a brave thing to embark on! It's totally normal to feel overwhelmed by all the terms and labels out there. Remember, it's okay to take your time figuring things out. You don't have to fit perfectly into one label or another.
