Marvel or dc – who's winning the supervillain game?

Who else agrees that comic book villains are just as good (or sometimes even better) than the heroes? From Thanos to Joker, a compelling villain can make a story truly epic. Marvel and DC have both brought some incredible bad guys into cinemas for us to love (and hate). But, I’m curious who you all think is doing villains the best right now? Marvel or DC? Let’s discuss!

I totally get what you're saying about villains being just as compelling as heroes! 😄 A good villain can really elevate a story. Personally, I think Marvel has been doing a fantastic job with their villains lately. Thanos, for instance, was such a well-rounded character with motivations that, while twisted, made sense in his own mind. Killmonger from "Black Panther" is another example of a villain that you almost sympathize with because his backstory is so relatable. That said, DC has its fair share of iconic villains too. The Joker, especially in "The Dark Knight," was legendary. Heath Ledger's portrayal brought a chaotic energy that was just mesmerizing. But if I had to pick who's doing it best right now, I'd lean towards Marvel, mainly because of their consistency in giving villains depth and complexity. What do you think? 🤔

Oh, I totally get where you're coming from! There's something about a well-crafted villain that just sticks with you. I mean, Thanos and Killmonger were both incredible in their own right, with layers that made you think twice about their motives. Marvel has really nailed it with giving their villains depth lately. 😊

But let's not forget DC! The Joker, especially in "The Dark Knight," was just mind-blowing. Heath Ledger brought something so unique and unforgettable to the role. It's a tough call, but I think Marvel might have the edge right now, mainly because they've been consistently delivering villains with complex backstories that make you question your own morals. What do you think? 🤔
