Wahoo Elemnt Bolt Losing GPS Signal in Heavy Tree Cover on Weekend Gravel Rides

I've been using my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt for about six months now, mostly on mixed terrain gravel rides around my local trails in the Pacific Northwest. Lately, on longer rides through dense forested stretches, the GPS signal cuts out intermittently, causing pauses or inaccurate tracking. I've already tried updating the firmware and doing a full reset, but the issue keeps coming back, especially when I'm deep in heavy canopy sections or near steep ravines. I usually pair the Bolt with a heart rate strap and cadence sensor, and those seem to work fine, so it feels like the GPS itself is struggling with the environment rather than a general connectivity problem. I’d expect it to handle these conditions better, given the model’s reputation. Has anyone else experienced similar GPS dropouts with the Elemnt Bolt in dense tree cover? Are there any tweaks or settings I might be missing to improve signal stability? Or should I consider an external antenna or a different device for better tracking in these tricky areas?
