After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Ventura, the external Thunderbolt display flickers and then goes black

I just upgraded my 2019 MacBook Pro to macOS Ventura, hoping for better performance and some new features. However, the external Thunderbolt display I use for work (a Dell U2723QE, connected via a Thunderbolt 3 cable) keeps flickering for a few seconds after I wake the Mac from sleep and then goes completely black. The Mac still detects the display, but no image shows up until I disconnect and reconnect the cable or restart the Mac. I’ve tried resetting the NVRAM and SMC, updated all the Dell firmware, and tested with a different Thunderbolt cable, but the problem persists. It didn’t happen before the Ventura upgrade, and I really rely on this monitor for my daily tasks. Interestingly, the internal display stays fine and the Mac itself feels responsive. Has anyone else experienced display flickering or blackouts with Thunderbolt monitors after upgrading to Ventura? Are there any known workarounds or settings I should check to keep the display active after waking from sleep without having to unplug it? Would downgrading macOS or waiting for a patch be my only options here?
