I’ve been trying to spice up my evening workout playlist and decided to mix some classic 80s rock anthems with chill lo-fi beats. The idea is to keep the energy up with songs from bands like Bon Jovi and Journey but also add some smooth, relaxed vibes during cooldowns with lo-fi tracks. I’m doing this mostly on Spotify and have tried blending the playlists manually, but it feels a bit jarring switching from high-energy rock to mellow lo-fi. I work out at home and usually have about 45 minutes to an hour, so I want the playlist to flow naturally without killing my momentum. I’m wondering if anyone else has tried mixing such different genres for workouts? Also, any tips on how to create a seamless transition between upbeat and chill tracks would be great. Should I just stick to one vibe or is there a clever way to have both without it feeling off?
