Weird Browser Extension Popped Up on My Work Laptop with No Install History

I was using my work laptop yesterday when I noticed a new browser extension active in Chrome that I never installed. It’s called “QuickNotes Plus,” but I have no recollection of adding it, and when I checked the Chrome extension page, there’s no record of me installing it. I ran a malware scan which came back clean, and my IT department said they didn’t push any new extensions either. The extension doesn’t seem malicious at first glance, but I’m worried it might be spying on my browsing or injecting ads. My work laptop is pretty locked down, so I’m confused how this got there without me or IT adding it. I’ve disabled it for now and changed my passwords just in case. Has anyone else seen random extensions appear on their work devices? What’s the best way to check if this is some kind of stealth malware or just a weird glitch? Should I wipe my laptop completely or are there safer ways to confirm it’s clean? Also, any tips on how to monitor extensions better going forward?
