My garden feels more stressful than relaxing these days—when did this happen?

I’ve always found my backyard garden to be my little sanctuary - a place to unwind after long workdays. But recently, spending time there has started to feel more like a chore than a comfort. It’s been about two months since I noticed this shift, right around when I started trying to keep up with a new complicated planting schedule I found online. I thought having a more structured approach would help me feel accomplished, but instead, it’s made me anxious about every weed or wilting leaf. I’ve tried scaling back and just focusing on a few easy plants, but even then, I catch myself stressing over whether I’m watering enough or too much. It’s frustrating because I don’t want to give up on gardening - it’s supposed to be my break from screen time and daily stress, not a new source of it. Has anyone else experienced their favorite hobby turning into a stress trigger? How did you find your way back to enjoying it without feeling overwhelmed? Also, are there simple ways to keep a garden low-maintenance but still rewarding?
