Lately, I've been trying to squeeze in some evening workouts after my toddler goes down for bed, but it's been tougher than I expected. Some nights, she falls asleep early, giving me a good hour for yoga or a quick bodyweight routine. Other nights, she’s up and needs a lot of attention, which means my plans get totally derailed. I’ve tried setting a strict schedule for her bedtime and prepping my workout clothes in advance, but the unpredictability still throws me off. I really want to build a consistent habit without feeling guilty for not being there when she’s restless. On top of that, I sometimes feel too drained by the end of the day to push myself. I’m wondering if anyone else has found creative ways to fit in effective workouts around a toddler’s changing routine, or maybe ways to boost energy in the evenings without caffeine? What kind of short workouts or stretches have worked well for you when time and energy are limited? Have you found any tricks to balance attention for your kids with your own fitness goals?
