Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Screen Flickers Only When Charging Fast, Not Slow Charging

I've been loving my new Galaxy Z Fold 5, but recently I noticed something weird. When I plug it in with the official fast charger (45W), the screen flickers intermittently, especially when the device is off or in standby. However, if I switch to slow charging with a regular 15W charger, the flickering stops completely. I've tried rebooting, clearing cache, and even a factory reset, but no luck. The flickering only happens during charging, never when unplugged. I'm worried this might be a hardware issue with the charging circuit or screen, but I haven't found anyone else reporting the same problem online. Has anyone experienced this with foldables or similar devices? Could it be related to power delivery or a software glitch tied to fast charging? Also, is it safe to keep using slow charging as a workaround, or will that damage the battery over time? Any insights or similar experiences would be super helpful!

That flickering during fast charging definitely sounds like it could be a hardware-level issue, especially since it only happens when the device is off or in standby. The fact that it stops with slower charging suggests it might be related to how the charging circuit manages power delivery at higher wattages. I’d be cautious about pushing the fast charger too much if it’s causing visible screen flicker - it could stress the display or power components over time.

Using the 15W charger as a workaround is totally safe for the battery, but obviously slower. If you want to keep the fast charging convenience, I’d recommend getting the phone checked out by Samsung or an authorized service center. Sometimes these foldables have unique power management quirks that only show up under certain conditions, and they might have a firmware update or hardware fix available.

Meanwhile, keep an eye on any other odd behaviors like overheating or battery drain spikes. If you spot those, definitely escalate the issue sooner
