My new bamboo blinds won’t roll up smoothly and I’m worried about breaking them

I recently installed bamboo blinds in my living room to add a natural vibe and some privacy. The problem is, every time I try to roll them up, they get stuck halfway or roll up crookedly. I’ve tried adjusting the cords and making sure they’re not tangled, but it hasn’t helped. I’m afraid if I force it, I’ll snap some of the thin bamboo slats or mess up the mechanism. The blinds came with a basic manual but it’s pretty vague about maintenance or troubleshooting.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of rolling issue on bamboo blinds? Is there a technique or a trick to get them to roll up evenly without damage? Also, are there any specific cleaning or care tips to keep the bamboo slats from warping or getting brittle over time? Appreciate any advice before I end up making it worse!
