Wi-Fi Printer Only Works When Connected via Ethernet, Wireless Printing Stalls at 'Sending'

I've got an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 set up in my home office. It's supposed to work wirelessly through my TP-Link Archer AX50 router, but every time I try to print over Wi-Fi, the job just hangs at "Sending" forever. If I plug the printer in directly with Ethernet, printing happens instantly without any hiccups. I've tried restarting both router and printer, resetting the printer's network settings, and even reinstalling the HP Smart app on my laptop. My laptop and phone are both on the 5GHz Wi-Fi band, and the printer shows a strong signal. I don't have any special firewall or VPN running, so I don't think it's blocking anything. I'm hoping to get wireless printing working properly so I don't have to keep running cables around the room. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue where Wi-Fi printing stalls but Ethernet works fine? What settings or troubleshooting steps helped you fix it?

Since your printer works fine over Ethernet but stalls on Wi-Fi, it might be a router setting causing the hiccup. Some TP-Link routers have a "Wireless Isolation" or "AP Isolation" feature that can block devices from talking to each other on Wi-Fi, even if they’re on the same network. Double-check that this is disabled in your Archer AX50’s settings.

Also, since your laptop and phone are on 5GHz, try connecting the printer to the 2.4GHz band if possible. Some printers handle 2.4GHz better for printing tasks, and mixing bands can sometimes cause communication issues. If your router has a "Smart Connect" feature that merges both bands under one SSID, consider disabling it temporarily to test separate networks.

Lastly, you might want to assign a static IP to the printer in your router’s DHCP settings. Sometimes the printer’s IP changes and the laptop’s print queue gets stuck waiting for
