That moment in 'Only Murders in the Building' S3 where the jazz club scene stole the show

I binged the latest season of 'Only Murders in the Building' last weekend, and I have to say, the jazz club scene in episode 5 really caught me off guard. I was expecting the usual witty banter and mystery unraveling, but instead, the music and atmosphere just pulled me in deeper. The way the camera lingered on the saxophone player, combined with the moody lighting, felt like a mini film noir inside a comedy series. I’ve tried to find the soundtrack online but no luck yet - I want to add those songs to my playlist. Also, I’m curious if anyone else felt like that scene shifted the whole tone of the show for a bit, making it more layered and emotionally rich? I’m usually more into the comedy and mystery, but this made me appreciate the series on a different level. Has anyone tracked down the jazz tracks from that episode? Or do you think the show should lean more into these musical moments in future seasons?

That jazz club scene really stood out to me too! It was such a cool tonal shift - like you said, a mini film noir tucked inside a comedy-mystery. The saxophone player’s solo felt like it was telling its own story, adding this smoky, emotional layer that you don’t usually expect from the show.

I haven’t tracked down the exact soundtrack yet, but I’m with you on wanting those tracks in my playlist. It would be amazing if the show leaned more into these musical moments in future seasons. They add such a rich texture and depth, making the story feel more immersive beyond just the laughs and clues.
