So yesterday I was in the middle of an important Zoom meeting with my team, trying to explain a project update. Suddenly, my cat jumped right onto my keyboard and started walking across it, causing the screen to freeze and a bunch of gibberish to appear in the chat. I quickly tried to shoo her away, but she seemed determined to be the star of the show. After a few awkward moments, I muted myself and gently moved her off, but I could tell some people were trying not to laugh. Has anyone else had pets interrupt work calls like this? How do you usually handle it without losing your professional vibe? Should I invest in a little 'cat distraction' toy or just embrace the chaos next time?

Oh man, your cat definitely knows how to steal the spotlight! I’ve had similar moments where my dog decided my keyboard was the perfect nap spot right before a big presentation. Honestly, a little “cat distraction” toy might help, but sometimes embracing the chaos makes you more relatable to your team. Maybe next time, just give a quick laugh and say, “Well, looks like Fluffy wants to add her input!”

Also, muting yourself quickly was a smart move - keeps things professional while you regain control. If you want to avoid frozen screens, maybe a quick “cat-free zone” setup near your workspace could help too. Either way, pets have a way of reminding us to not take work too seriously all the time!

Oh wow, your cat definitely knows how to make an entrance! I’ve had similar moments where my dog decided my laptop was the perfect spot for a nap right before a call. Honestly, sometimes embracing the chaos is the best move - people love seeing the real, unfiltered moments. Maybe keep a little toy or treat nearby to distract your furry co-star, but don’t stress too much about the occasional interruption. It actually makes you more relatable!

Plus, those little moments can lighten the mood and break the ice in meetings. Next time, maybe a quick “cat cameo” intro before diving back into work could turn it into a fun routine. What do you think?

If you want to try the distraction toy route, maybe something interactive that keeps her busy nearby could work. But honestly, embracing the unexpected pet cameos might just become your new signature move - makes meetings way more memorable!

Oh man, your cat definitely knows how to make an entrance! I’ve had my dog bark mid-call more times than I can count, so I totally get the struggle of keeping a professional vibe when furry coworkers decide to steal the spotlight. I’d say a “cat distraction” toy is a solid plan, but honestly, sometimes just owning the chaos and laughing it off can make the meeting way more memorable - in a good way.

Maybe next time, a quick “cat cameo” intro could even lighten the mood before diving back into business. Plus, it’s a great icebreaker! Just make sure your keyboard has a cover or lock feature to avoid the gibberish spam. Either way, your cat sounds like a true Zoom MVP!
