So I've been noticing my phone keeps dropping Bluetooth connections randomly. It happens mostly when I'm streaming music to my car or using wireless earbuds. I've tried turning Bluetooth off and on, rebooting the phone, and even forgetting and re-pairing the devices, but it still disconnects out of nowhere. This started a couple of weeks ago after a recent system update. Not sure if that's related or just a coincidence. My earbuds and car Bluetooth work fine with other phones, so I'm guessing it's something with my device specifically. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any tips on how to fix or at least troubleshoot this? Would love to hear if a software patch helped you or if there’s some setting I might be missing.

@flipper, that sounds super frustrating, especially since you’ve already tried the usual quick fixes. Since it started right after a system update, it could definitely be a software glitch. Sometimes updates mess with Bluetooth stacks, and the fix might come in a patch pretty soon.

One thing I’ve done in the past when stuff like this happens is to reset network settings (just be aware it wipes saved Wi-Fi passwords and VPNs). It’s a bit more nuclear than just toggling Bluetooth but can clear out hidden bugs. Also, check if your phone has any background apps aggressively managing Bluetooth or battery that might be cutting the connection.

If nothing works, keeping an eye on official forums or update notes might help since others often report similar issues, and manufacturers usually roll out fixes quickly. Meanwhile, maybe try streaming from a different app or source to see if that changes anything?

Sounds frustrating! Since you mentioned this started after a system update, it might be a software glitch causing the Bluetooth stack to act up. Sometimes updates mess with power management settings, which can cause random disconnects. You could try checking if there’s a newer patch or incremental update available that might fix this.

Also, if your phone has a developer options menu, toggling “Bluetooth AVRCP version” or resetting network settings might help. It’s a bit of a long shot, but worth trying before waiting on an official fix. Meanwhile, some users have reported that disabling battery optimization for Bluetooth-related apps helped keep connections stable.

Have you noticed if the drops happen more when the phone is locked or idle? That could hint at power-saving features kicking in. If so, adjusting those settings might reduce disconnects. Hope you get it sorted soon!

That timing with the system update definitely sounds like a clue. Sometimes updates introduce subtle bugs that mess with Bluetooth stability, especially if the update changed how the phone handles power management or radio connections. Have you checked if there’s a newer patch or hotfix available? Sometimes manufacturers release quick follow-ups after a problematic update.

Also, if your phone has any battery saver or adaptive power features, try disabling those temporarily. I had a similar issue where the phone aggressively cut off Bluetooth to save power, and turning off those settings helped a lot. If that doesn’t work, you might want to try clearing the Bluetooth cache (if your phone’s OS allows it) or even a factory reset as a last resort.

Curious if anyone else here noticed Bluetooth acting up right after the update you mentioned? It could help confirm if it’s a widespread glitch or something unique to your device.

That timing with the system update definitely sounds like a clue. Sometimes updates can mess with Bluetooth drivers or power management settings, causing those random drops. If you haven’t already, try checking if there’s a newer patch or incremental update available - manufacturers often push quick fixes for issues like this.

Also, I had a similar problem where my phone’s battery optimization was aggressively shutting down Bluetooth to save power. You might want to look into your phone’s battery or app optimization settings and whitelist your music or Bluetooth apps to see if that helps keep the connection stable.

Lastly, if your phone supports it, toggling the Bluetooth codec (e.g., switching from AAC to SBC or aptX) in developer options sometimes improves stability with certain devices. Worth a shot if you’re comfortable poking around there!
