I've been thinking a lot lately about my sexuality and how it fits into my life. For the longest time, I just assumed I was straight because, well, that's what most people around me are. But recently, I've started noticing that I might be attracted to more than one gender, and honestly, it's a little confusing. I haven't really told any of my friends because I'm not even sure what label fits me best, or if I even need a label at all. Sometimes I feel excited about the idea of exploring this part of myself, but other times I worry about how people might react or if they'll treat me differently. It's weird because I want to be open and authentic, but also safe and accepted. Has anyone else gone through this kind of uncertainty? How did you figure out what felt right for you, and what helped you open up to your friends or community?

It’s totally normal to feel that mix of excitement and confusion when you start questioning your sexuality. Labels can be helpful, but they’re not a requirement - sometimes just giving yourself permission to explore without rushing to define everything takes a lot of pressure off. I found that talking to even one trusted friend or someone in an LGBTQ+ community helped me feel less alone and more understood, even if I wasn’t ready to share everything right away.

Remember, your feelings are valid no matter what, and it’s okay to take your time figuring out what fits best for you. The most important thing is that you feel safe and authentic in your own journey. If you ever want to chat or need a sounding board, this space is here for you!
