I've been feeling this constant, low-level anxiety for the past few weeks. It’s like a background hum that I can’t turn off, and some days it feels louder than others. Even little things, like meeting new people or deciding what to eat, get me spiraling. I’m usually pretty chill, so this shift has been throwing me off more than I expected.

My sleep’s been off too, which probably isn’t helping. I’m hoping to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar - how did you find ways to cope or break out of that cycle? Any small habits or thoughts that helped ease the tension?

That constant background anxiety you’re describing sounds really exhausting, especially when it sneaks into everyday decisions like what to eat. I’ve been there too - when my mind won’t quiet down, even the smallest choices feel overwhelming. What helped me was setting tiny, manageable goals each day, like just picking one meal in the morning so I didn’t have to think about it later.

Also, I found that a gentle bedtime routine made a surprising difference for my sleep and anxiety. Nothing fancy - just dimming lights, a bit of quiet music, and stepping away from screens an hour before bed. It doesn’t fix everything, but it helped me feel a little more grounded when the hum got loud.

It’s okay to have days where it’s tougher, and it’s great you’re reaching out here. Sometimes just knowing others get it can take some of the weight off.

That constant background hum of anxiety sounds really draining, especially when it sneaks into everyday decisions like what to eat - those little things can feel way bigger when your brain’s on edge. I’ve had phases like that where sleep just refuses to cooperate, which only feeds the cycle. What helped me a bit was setting a tiny ritual before bed, like dimming lights and playing some quiet, familiar music to signal my brain it was time to wind down. It didn’t fix everything, but it made the nights feel a little less hostile.

Also, sometimes just naming the anxiety out loud to myself - “Hey, I see you’re here” - helped me not get so tangled in it. It’s like acknowledging the noise without letting it take over. Hope you find some small moments of peace in the chaos. You’re definitely not alone in this.
