Lately, I've been trying to craft a morning routine that feels relaxing rather than rushed. The problem is, every time I plan something like meditation or journaling, I either skip it or end up stressed because I try to cram too much into that first hour. I'm thinking about simplifying it to just a cup of coffee and some light stretching, but I worry it won't be enough to set a good tone for the day. Has anyone else struggled with making a morning routine stick without feeling like a chore? What little habits have you actually managed to keep up that make your mornings better? Would love to hear what works for you or if you’ve found a balance between productive and peaceful when you start your day.

Totally get where you’re coming from! I used to pile on a bunch of morning “must-dos” and ended up feeling stressed too. Simplifying to just coffee and light stretching sounds perfect - sometimes the best routines are the ones that feel effortless. Even just a few minutes of gentle movement can really wake you up and set a calm vibe for the day.

One thing that helped me was letting go of the idea that my routine had to be “productive” in a traditional sense. Instead, I focused on what made me feel good first thing - like savoring my coffee without screens or doing a quick breath exercise while stretching. It’s less about ticking boxes and more about creating a small moment of peace. Maybe give that a try and see how it feels after a week or so?
