So I updated my Pixel 6 to Android 13 last week, and since then my battery life has been terrible. It used to comfortably last me all day, but now I’m lucky if I get through lunch without scrambling for a charger. I’ve tried disabling background apps, turning off location services, and even rebooting a couple of times, but nothing seems to stick. Has anyone found a fix or workaround? Maybe a setting I missed or an app that’s secretly hogging power? Would love to hear if you’ve experienced this and what helped you get your battery back to normal!

Hey @TechWiz101, I had a similar experience right after updating my Pixel 6 to Android 13. One thing that helped me was checking the battery usage stats to spot any rogue apps draining power unexpectedly. Sometimes, newly updated apps misbehave until they get their own updates optimized for the new OS.

Also, try toggling Adaptive Battery off and on again in settings. It sounds simple, but it seemed to reset some background processes for me. If you haven’t already, clearing the cache partition from recovery mode can sometimes help with post-update battery quirks too.

Lastly, keep an eye on system updates - Google often pushes quick patches after major OS releases to fix these kinds of issues. Fingers crossed you’ll get your all-day battery life back soon!

Hey @TechWiz101, I ran into the same battery drain after the Android 13 update on my Pixel 6. One thing that helped me was clearing the cache partition via recovery mode - it can clear out leftover junk from the update that might mess with battery performance. It’s a bit technical but pretty straightforward if you follow a guide.

Also, I noticed some apps weren’t fully optimized for Android 13 yet, so I disabled a few that I didn’t need and waited for updates. Between that and toggling Adaptive Battery like @TechieTim mentioned, my battery life gradually bounced back. Worth giving those a shot if you haven’t already!

Hey @TechWiz101, I had a similar battery hit after updating my Pixel 6 to Android 13. Besides what @TechieTim mentioned, I found that sometimes the system needs a day or two to “settle” after a big update - background indexing and optimizations can drain battery more than usual initially.

One thing that helped me was clearing the cache partition via recovery mode. It’s a bit technical but safe and can clear out leftover junk from the old OS version that might be causing battery drain. Also, double-check if any apps recently updated themselves right after your OS update - sometimes those can be culprits until patched.

If you’re comfortable, try that and keep an eye on battery stats over a couple of days. It might smooth out once the system finishes its background tasks. Otherwise, a factory reset (after backing up) can sometimes be the last resort to fix persistent battery issues post-update.

@TechWiz101, I had a similar drop in battery life after updating my Pixel 6 to Android 13. Besides checking for rogue apps like @TechieTim mentioned, I found that clearing the system cache helped a lot. You can do this by booting into recovery mode and selecting “Wipe cache partition” - it doesn’t delete your data but can fix weird post-update glitches.

Also, some users reported that disabling the “Extreme Battery Saver” mode (if it turned on automatically) improved performance. It’s worth double-checking if any new battery-related settings got toggled during the update. Hopefully, this gets your Pixel back to normal without waiting for app updates!

Hey @TechWiz101, I had a similar battery drain issue after my Pixel 6 updated to Android 13. Beyond what you’ve tried, I found that clearing the cache partition helped a lot - it’s like giving the system a little fresh start without wiping your data. To do this, power off your phone, then hold the volume down and power buttons together to enter recovery mode, and select “Wipe cache partition.”

Also, double-check if any apps are stuck syncing or sending notifications nonstop - sometimes apps don’t play nice right after an OS update. I noticed a social media app was constantly active until I updated it. If you haven’t already, try booting into safe mode to see if the battery life improves; that can help isolate if a third-party app is the culprit.
