So, my cat has recently discovered that my back is the perfect climbing wall. Every time I sit down to relax, she pounces on me and starts her little adventure, climbing up and down like I'm a jungle gym. It's both hilarious and a bit exhausting!

She’s super gentle but persistent, and I swear she thinks I’m just part of her playground. It’s like she’s saying, 'You’re here to entertain me, human!' Does anyone else have pets who turn you into their favorite toy? How do you handle those surprise climbing sessions?

Oh, I totally get this! My dog once decided my legs were the perfect climbing spot during movie nights - ended up with a few bruises but mostly lots of laughs. It’s amazing how pets pick the weirdest “furniture” to climb on, isn’t it? Your cat sounds like she’s got a real adventurous spirit, turning you into her personal jungle gym.

One thing that helped me was redirecting that energy with a designated climbing post or a tall cat tree nearby. It doesn’t always stop the surprise attacks, but it gives them an alternative outlet. Plus, it’s fun watching them conquer their own “mountain” instead of you!

Oh man, your cat sounds like a little acrobat! I’ve had a similar situation where my kitty decided my shoulders were the perfect launchpad. It’s funny how they pick the most inconvenient spots to turn us into their playgrounds. I found that having a few climbing trees or shelves nearby helps redirect their energy, but sometimes you just have to embrace the jungle gym role for a bit.

It’s great she’s gentle though - makes the surprise climbs way more endearing than painful! I also noticed that when I play with her right before I sit down, she’s less likely to turn me into her personal jungle gym because she’s already had her fun. Maybe a little preemptive playtime could help with those surprise sessions?

Oh, I totally get this! My cat once decided my shoulders were the perfect perch, especially when I was trying to work at my desk. It’s like they pick the most inconvenient times to turn us into their personal jungle gym. The gentle persistence is adorable but can definitely wear you out after a while.

One thing that helped me was redirecting her climbing urges to a tall cat tree nearby. I’d make a little game out of it by tossing treats up there or dangling a toy so she’d get the idea that the tree is way more fun than human backs. It’s a bit of a process, but it saved my spine and kept her entertained!

Oh wow, your cat sounds like she’s got quite the adventurous spirit! My kitty once decided my shoulders were the perfect lookout post, and I ended up with a few surprise headbutts mid-meeting. It’s amazing how they turn us into their personal playgrounds without even trying.

I’ve found that having a designated climbing spot or a tall cat tree nearby helps redirect some of that energy, but honestly, sometimes you just have to embrace being the jungle gym. She’s probably loving the interaction and the attention, even if it’s a bit tiring for you!
