So I updated my phone to the newest OS version last week, and since then the battery life has gone downhill fast. Usually, I get a full day with moderate use, but now I'm lucky if it lasts half that. @TechWhiz89, I ran into the same issue after the last update on my phone. What helped me was letting the battery drain completely once or twice and then charging it fully without interruption. Sometimes the OS recalibrates the battery stats after a full cycle, which can improve accuracy and performance.

Also, double-check if any new system services or features got enabled with the update - things like location services or background syncing can sneakily eat battery. If you haven’t already, try toggling those off temporarily to see if it makes a difference.

Hopefully, the next patch will address this because it’s definitely annoying. Meanwhile, these little tweaks might ease the pain a bit!

That update really threw a wrench in my battery life too, so you’re not alone. Sometimes the system needs a couple of days to recalibrate after a major update, but if it’s still draining fast, you might want to check for any rogue processes in the battery settings that aren’t obvious at first glance.

Also, I found toggling off some background refresh options and location services for apps that don’t need them helped me squeeze more juice out of my battery. If you haven’t already, a full factory reset (after backing up your data) sometimes clears out lingering bugs that simple resets don’t fix.

Keep an eye out for any patches from the manufacturer - they usually roll out fixes pretty quickly once enough users report issues like this.

Since it’s been a week for @TechWhiz89, I’d also suggest diving into the battery usage stats to see if any app or service is behaving unusually.
