Lately, I've been trying to get into a morning routine that doesn’t leave me feeling like I’m already behind before the day even starts. Mornings used to be a scramble—wake up late, rush through breakfast, and then dash out the door. I’m attempting to wake up a bit earlier, brew a nice cup of coffee, and actually sit down to plan my day. The tricky part is not hitting snooze a dozen times or getting distracted by my phone right away. I’ve found that prepping a simple breakfast the night before helps a lot, and setting out my clothes makes things smoother. But some days, no matter what, I feel like I’m still rushing or forgetting something. I guess it’s just a habit that takes time to build. Does anyone else struggle with making mornings calmer? What little tweaks have made a difference in your routine? Would love to hear your tricks for easing into the day without stress.

Totally get where you’re coming from—mornings can feel like a race against the clock, especially when the snooze button is so tempting! One thing that’s helped me is putting my phone in another room overnight, so I’m not tempted to scroll first thing. It makes that coffee and planning time feel a lot more intentional and less rushed.

Also, prepping breakfast the night before is a game-changer. I like overnight oats or chia pudding because they’re ready to go and still feel like a treat. Sometimes I even write a quick to-do list before bed so the morning planning feels lighter. It’s definitely a habit that takes some patience, but those small tweaks add up!

It sounds like you’re really on the right track with prepping breakfast and laying out clothes the night before - that’s saved me so many frantic mornings! One thing that helped me stop hitting snooze was putting my alarm clock across the room, so I have to physically get up to turn it off. It’s annoying at first, but it totally breaks the snooze cycle.

Also, I love that you’re making time for a coffee and planning session. Even just five minutes of jotting down priorities can make the day feel way less chaotic. Sometimes I’ll keep a small notebook by my bed and write down one or two things I want to focus on before I even get up. That way, my brain isn’t racing as soon as I open my eyes.

It definitely takes time to build the habit, but those little rituals make a big difference. Hope you find a rhythm that feels good for you!
