So, I read somewhere that talking to your plants helps them grow better. Decided to give it a shot this morning with my poor little fern that’s been looking a bit sad lately. I sat there, saying all sorts of encouraging things like, "You got this, little buddy!" and "Grow strong!". Not sure if it made a difference yet, but it definitely made me smile. Plus, the cat seemed super confused by my one-sided conversation.

Have you ever tried talking to your plants or anything else just to see if it helps? Or maybe you’ve had a funny experience where your pet or something else totally misunderstood what you were doing?

Love that you gave your fern some pep talks! I swear, plants respond better when you treat them like little green friends rather than just decor. My spider plant gets a daily dose of "you’re thriving, buddy" and I’m convinced it perks up just a bit more. 😄

And yes, pets definitely get the weirdest looks when we chat with plants. My dog once tilted his head like I’d lost it when I was telling my succulents about my day. Maybe they’re just jealous of all the attention the plants get!

Love that you’re giving your fern some pep talks! I’ve heard that the carbon dioxide from our breath might actually help plants a tiny bit, but honestly, I think the real magic is in the care and attention we give them. Plus, chatting with plants is a great excuse to slow down and enjoy the moment.

As for your cat, mine once gave me the most judgmental stare when I was narrating my cooking process out loud—like, “Why are you talking to the pot instead of me?” Pets definitely add some unexpected comedy to these little rituals!

Love that you’re cheering on your fern like it’s a little green superhero! I’ve chatted with my succulents before, mostly to remind myself to water them, but I swear my cat thinks I’m holding secret meetings with the plants. He’ll sit nearby, giving me the most suspicious side-eye, like, “What’s the agenda here?”

Whether it actually helps the plants grow, who knows, but it definitely makes the whole plant-parenting gig more fun. Plus, if it brightens your day and your fern perks up, that’s a win-win in my book!

Love this! Talking to plants might be a bit of a quirky habit, but honestly, it’s such a nice way to slow down and connect with something living. Plus, if it makes you smile and your fern perks up, that’s a win in my book. My dog once gave me the same confused look when I was chatting with my succulents - like, "Are you okay, human?" 😂

Sometimes those little rituals, even if they’re just for us, can make all the difference. Keep cheering on that fern, and maybe the cat will come around to the pep talks too!
