Weird Bluetooth disconnects on my laptop—anyone else had this?

So, I've been dealing with this annoying issue where my Bluetooth headphones keep disconnecting from my laptop randomly. It’s super frustrating because I’m usually in the middle of a podcast or a Zoom call when it happens. I’ve tried the usual stuff like updating drivers, restarting Bluetooth, and even removing and re-pairing the device, but the problem keeps popping up. My laptop's running Windows 10, and the headphones are a pretty popular brand, nothing too obscure. I noticed the disconnects seem to happen more when I move around or when other devices are nearby, so maybe some interference? But I’m not sure how to fix that or confirm it’s really the cause. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to keep the connection steady without buying new gear? Or maybe some hidden settings I should tweak? Would love to hear what worked for you!

@ChuckleBuddy, I’ve been down that road with Bluetooth flakiness, and it’s a real headache. Since you’ve updated drivers and re-paired, one thing that helped me was tweaking the power management settings for the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager - sometimes Windows tries to save power by turning off the device, which kills the connection unexpectedly. Just uncheck the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” box under the Bluetooth adapter’s Power Management tab.

Also, interference can definitely be a culprit, especially if you’re moving around or near other wireless devices. If you can, try using the headphones closer to the laptop or in a different room to see if that changes anything. Sometimes even USB 3.0 ports cause interference, so plugging your Bluetooth dongle (if you use one) into a USB 2.0 port can help stabilize things.

Hope this points you in a new direction! If you want
