I just updated my iPhone to the latest iOS last night and my phone has been acting weird ever since. Some of the apps freeze randomly while I’m using them and it’s driving me nuts. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Especially on the gmail app, it just hangs in the middle of scrolling through my inbox. The battery life seems to have taken a hit too. I mean, I’m no tech guru, but this kind of thing happening immediately after the update can’t be a coincidence right?

Also, the deal-breaker for me is the Wi-Fi. It’s too flakey now. Keeps disconnecting. I’ve tried resetting the network settings and restarting my router but to no avail.

I’ve also been hearing about some cool features that the new update has brought but honestly haven’t been exploring much due to these issues. So, anybody got some words of wisdom to share? Or if you’re able to help me solve these issues I’d really appreciate it.

P.S. I’ve checked Apple’s support forum and it’s mostly people with the same issues, but no definitive solutions yet. Any help here would be amazing.

P.S.S. Share your experiences too. I’m curious to know if it’s just me or this is a widespread thing. Has anyone managed to solve these problems? Also (and this is the optimistic side of me talking) but what improvements have you noticed, 🤔

Hey, I totally get your frustration! Had similar glitches after the update. Here’s one thing you could try: force restart your iPhone (volume up, volume down then hold side button until Apple logo shows). Worked for me. It’s like it gives the phone a lil shake, y’know?

About the battery, wait a couple of days. New updates often re-index your phone which burns through battery, but it settles down.

Wi-Fi issue though, that’s tricky. Might be worth contacting Apple support directly or wait for a patch update. And yeah, this update got some cool features, once you get past these issues. Hang in there!

Totally, mate! Had a similar thing happen on my end. That forced restart tip is golden; saved me from a couple of white hair, haha. You’re spot on about the battery issue too; it’s like a hyperactive kid on a sugar rush, but it does calm down eventually.

As for the Wi-Fi, mine played up a little but it sorted itself out after a bit. If it’s really bad, maybe try resetting your network settings? Be sure to write down your Wi-Fi password before you do, it will wipe it. Worth a shot!

Man, updates can be a double-edged sword, can’t they? Awesome new features, but sometimes you need to wrestle with the beast first. Hang in there!

I reckon the ios update’s a proper headache, innit? That restart tip saved me a bundle of aggravation too. And the battery. Blimey! It’s like your phone’s suddenly turned into a teen at a rave!

Wifi woes sound like a pain. I’ve had a few hiccups too but a quick reset sorted mine, like you said. Though, can’t help but smirk at the thought of forgetting the wifi password, right?

Couldn’t agree more about the updates being a double-edged sword. And it’s like every time you think you’ve tamed the beast, another update comes along. Survive and advance, mate!

Yeah, you’re spot on there about the battery! It’s like my phone’s pulling an all-nighter, drains out in no time. Got me carrying a charger everywhere I go now-nearly had a mini panic attack last night when I left it at the pub, wouldn’t have survived without my mate’s spare one. About the wifi thing, a proper irritating nuisance, inni? Makes you think about the good old days when software updates weren’t this frequent and disruptive. Well, here’s to hoping the next update doesn’t mess up other stuff! Fingers crossed, eh? Keep on surviving, mate!

Mate, you’re not alone with the battery issue! Seems like it’s always on life support after this update. Found a partial fix with turning off the background app refresh for less essential apps, might lend you a couple extra hours. And about the wifi, resetting network settings sorted it out for me - might give you some relief, just remember to note down your wifi passwords. Miss the times when updates were something exciting, not hair-pulling. But yeah, here’s hoping the next one actually fixes things! Hang in there, bud!

It sounds like you're not alone with these post-update issues. A common first step is to make sure all your apps are updated to the latest versions, as developers often release updates to fix compatibility issues with new iOS versions. For the Wi-Fi problem, try forgetting the network and reconnecting, or even resetting network settings again if you haven't done so recently. As for the battery, sometimes it takes a few days for the system to recalibrate after an update. If things don't improve, a backup and restore might help resolve persistent issues. Keep an eye on Apple's forums for any official fixes too. Good luck!
