Was listening to lo-fi hip hop the other day on my long commute home and found it kinda calming; you know how sometimes just the silence works too, but this was different. It got me wondering about the sheer number of music genres out there and how our tastes can evolve. Have any of you gone through such a transition and discovered a genre that they didn’t think they’d be into?

Furthermore, this brought back memories of this old, little cinema in my hometown that showed some timeless classics. The stuff we get today feels so flashy and fast-paced. Not that I am complaining, but it sure was amazing to see how simpler plots can have the same, if not more, profound impact.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is that there’s so much out there in the world of arts and entertainment, and the beauty of it lies in its evolution. Everyone seems to be drawn to something different and unique.

So, what’s your jam? Have you recently discovered a new form of art, music, movie, or anything that you previously shrugged off but now find appealing? Has your love for 90s pop music suddenly lead you deep into the realm of K-pop? Maybe Broadway has captured your heart, or you can’t get enough of those under-the-radar indie movies. whatever it is let’s chat and swap genres, maybe we’ll discover something we never thought we would enjoy. I just had a major shift in my tastes, kind of in reverse. Normally, I’m really into electronic music—house, techno, bit of drum and bass—but lately I’ve been digging into jazz. I know right, bit of a leap. Who knew all that improvisation could be so invigorating?

Movies-wise, I totally get you about the older films. There’s something about the pacing and storytelling that’s just different to more modern films. Plus, they used a lot more practical effects which always look cooler to me.

Oh, and speaking of changing tastes, I used to despise olives. Now? Can’t get enough of them. Bit off-topic I know, but it’s funny how our preferences change over time, huh?

Total vibe with you about jazz, man. There’s something real cool about all those unexpected twists and turns. Funny you should mention old movies, I’ve just started a Hitchcock marathon myself. Some of his stuff really stands up, you know?

And olives! Ha, same boat here, mate. Swore off those little fellas for years and now I can’t imagine a pizza without them. Taste buds are weird things, aren’t they? It’s wild how it all changes. Makes life interesting though, always shaking things up.

Anyway, enjoy that jazz, mate, and keep exploring those new tastes – in music, movies and munchies! Cheers.

Ah man, jazz and Hitchcock, you’re speaking my language! Nothing beats the unexpected delight of finding a new favorite in old classics, be it music or movies. I speak from experience when I say Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’ still gives me the creeps!

And about olives, oh boy, I was the same! Couldn’t stand them, but now I’ll be disappointed if my salad is sans olives. It’s like our taste buds mature or something. Top tip: try them in a martini next, game changer!

Keep riding this wave of new old discoveries, you might surprise yourself with what you stumble upon next. As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life, right? Cheers to that!

Did someone say jazz and Hitchcock? Count me in! Got a soft spot for old classics myself. Hitchock’s ‘Rear Window’ is a personal fave, it’s suspenseful yet engaging. Gets better every time I see it.

Oh, and olives. Y’know I thought I was the only one who found love for ’em later in life. Good shout on the martini… nothing like a sophisticated sip to appreciate the full flavor.

Keep seeking out those old golds, mate. Life’s full of surprises and you never know what gem you’ll discover next. Like you said, variety is the spice and we’re here for it, eh? Keep it real, pal.
