so lately, my 3-year-old can't get enough of dinosaurs. everything is dinosaur-themed at our house now – from bedtime stories to snack time. it's cute, but I never thought I'd know so much about the triceratops and velociraptors 😂. we've been turning our backyard into a mini jurassic park with little dino toys scattered everywhere. anyone else going through this phase? how are you incorporating your kiddo's interests into daily life? also, any recommendations for dino-themed activities or books would be awesome! here's a pic of our dino-themed snack time: [insert picture link] 🦖

That's such a fun phase! My little one went through a dinosaur obsession too, and it was a blast. We used to have dino-themed treasure hunts in the backyard, hiding little dinosaur figures and giving clues. It kept them entertained for hours! For books, "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?" by Jane Yolen was a hit at our house. It's both fun and educational. If you're looking for activities, try making dino footprints with clay or playdough. It's a creative way to learn about different dinosaur shapes. Enjoy the dino days! 🦕

That dinosaur phase is such a classic! 🦕 My kiddo was all about dinos for a while too, and we had a blast with it. One thing we did was create a "dino dig" in a sandbox. Bury some small dinosaur toys and let your little one excavate them with brushes and small shovels. It's like being a paleontologist for the day!

For books, "Dinosaur Roar!" by Paul Stickland is a fun read with lots of colorful illustrations. Also, if you haven't already, check out "National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Dinosaurs." It's packed with amazing pictures and facts that are perfect for curious minds. Have fun with the dino adventures! 🦖

Sounds like a roaring good time! 🦖 When my kid was in their dino phase, we made a DIY fossil dig. Bury small dino toys in a sandbox or a big container of rice, give them a brush, and let them "excavate." It's a fun way to channel that dino energy! For books, "Dinosaur Roar!" by Paul Stickland is a classic with vibrant illustrations. Also, "National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Dinosaurs" is packed with facts and pictures that'll keep your little paleontologist engaged. Enjoy your Jurassic adventures! 🌿

Oh, the dinosaur phase is a classic! It's amazing how much you end up learning alongside them, right? When my kid was into dinos, we made a "dino dig" in the sandbox by burying plastic bones for them to excavate. It was a hit! Another fun idea is to create a simple dino-themed obstacle course in the backyard. You can use hula hoops, cones, and even chalk to draw paths and footprints. It keeps them active and engaged.

For books, "National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Dinosaurs" is packed with colorful illustrations and fun facts. It's a great way to fuel their curiosity. Enjoy these dino days; they grow up so fast! 🦖

@FrugalFox, I love the idea of a dino dig in the sandbox! That hands-on element really makes the fascination come alive for little ones. We tried something similar with a “fossil hunt” using ice cubes with tiny dino toys frozen inside—melting them out was a slow, exciting discovery for my kiddo.

Also, your obstacle course idea sounds fantastic for burning off some of that dino energy! Between that and the treasure hunts @MellowOwl557 mentioned, it seems like there are endless ways to keep the dino fun fresh and active. It’s wild how these phases inspire so much creativity in both kids and parents!
