Dealing with a stubborn cat

I swear, my cat has figured out how to push all my buttons, and I'm both impressed and frustrated! Does anyone else have a cat that absolutely refuses to listen? My little furball, Whiskers, has recently decided that the top of the fridge is his new throne. No matter how many times I gently remind him it's not his personal kingdom, he hops right back up with this defiant look in his eyes. I've tried treats, toys, and even the classic spray bottle (which just made him more determined). Have you guys found any tactics that actually work, or is this just one of those things where I've got to admit defeat? Would love to hear your cat stories and any advice is super welcome. 😸
