Which language to learn after VB?
#1
I've just finished learning about VB (I've read 2 books about it), so I would like to buy a book for another language. So, I was thinking of bying a C++ book, probably the book C++ Programming Fundamentals, or start learning flash and how to make flash games. What do you propose me?
My software company: Porosis Software
Games: Terrantula
Apps: Mathanasis, ColorGrabber

C++ as it is widely used among programmers, if you become "fluent" in C++ you could score yourself with a very well paid job.

I would recommend C++. Be forewarned that VB.net will have skewed your syntax Sad

I think YOu Should Move On to C# But it is kinda like vb.net but the syntax is harder...

ex. If you misspell a Word on vb.net it will autofix for you.

But if it was c# you would have to figure it out and fix it yourself

THEN YOU MOVE TO C++

That has to do with the IDE.. not the language itself.

I don't see how you can finish a programming language, but I'd recommend going for either C# or Java. Both my uncles are software engineers, and they've told me that these two languages are becoming the most popular industry-based languages out.
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
