This isn't an ad for the cheapest web hosting ever.

I'm not offering the cheapest hosting ever, because I can't. I'm not sure where you people are buying your unlimited gigabyte hard drives, because I can't seem to find any.

http://bombspace.net

We aren't the cheapest ever, but can can guarantee awesome and friendly support.

There's a presales contact form on the site. If you wish to interrogate me, please do it there. Casual questions can remain here.

Since this is a new service, there may be bugs (or there may not be). If you have repeated problems that are my fault, I'll make it worth your while.

As for domains, you can get a .bombspace.net subdomain upon registration, or you can register for a co.cc, cz.cc, co.tv, ath.cx, etc, which are all a bit less trashy. Of course, the best option is to grab a com, net, org, etc. Those can be acquired anywhere they're sold.

If you just want a free MyBB forum host, check out http://tankbb.net/

Ooh, and this is for legal stuff only. I know most of you are from HF and are looking for a place to host whatever the hell it is you do. This isn't the place.

It's average for something my size. Comparison:

http://www.jweb2.com/hosting.php

You're paying for undercrowded servers and support.

I still don't know where people are getting these "unlimited gb" hard drives, either.

There are several differences in our costs for a very good reason. We're a very different company to yourselves and Jweb2 for multiple reasons such as;

- We have bi-hourly offsite backups taken by CDP software to Atlanta, which users can access and restore from at any given time. Essentially, this means that even if the facility our Chicago systems are based in burnt down, then there would be a backup ready for restoration from a backup server.
- We offer genuine 24x7 technical support, with our longest response time taken on a single request this month standing at 1h55m, and our shortest standing at just 13 minutes. It's highly unlikely you'll find that level of service elsewhere.
- We offer support for commonly used PHP applications hosted on our systems, such as MyBB and WordPress

Also, unlike yourselves, we host our clients in Chicago on real dedicated servers instead of Virpus VPS offerings. By all means, you are seeking to provide a good service, but you are doing so at the constraints of running on 'virtualised' system which is not within your direct control. We have direct control over our hardware, and have chosen Gigenet and Nobis as our two providers - companies which offer excellent connectivity as opposed to budget services.

...in order to provide the level of service and high quality support which you are claiming to offer, you would be looking at ~$25/mo upwards for a good non-oversold package (in the case of your 18GB offering). The reason why I say this is because, even though in principle you may be able to fit enough people on to a server to fill that kind of space at that price and make a small profit, these clients will also use CPU and RAM as well as disk and bandwidth - thus your rate is on the low side in the case of that particular package. Therefore, I would say that your package in that case is slightly oversold.

I know I'm being cynical here, and I'm sorry if I'm being a bit too blunt. I appreciate the fact that you're providing an honest offering compared to most of our competitors out there, and commend you for it.

Best of luck to you!

It's slightly oversold and the level of service may not be as good as advertised, but it's better value than anything from the likes of JustHost, HostGator etc in my opinion. It's good to see this member providing an honest service with reasonable quantities of space and bandwidth instead of providing a pile of "unlimited everything" junk on slow, unreliable servers cram packed with clients all wanting their fair share.

If the four people that signed up came from this thread, your specs have been bumped up as well.
