Unable to install Windows 7
#1
Hello, I've been trying to install Windows 7 for a while now. I've tried 5 different images, including a legit one...I'm 100% sure it's not the disc/image's fault. Whenever I boot off the disc, it loads its files and all that, but when it enters setup, it just shows me a wallpaper with a cursor and nothing else happens. This happens every time. I have no idea what the problem is...I've tried leaving it on overnight before, that didn't work. Also, I'm not particularly fond of Windows, I'm setting it up to play some games; therefore, I have little patience to mess around with it anymore without a semi-definite solution.

Basic PC specs:

NVIDIA 9800GT - Dual DVI. Monitor connects using a DVI to VGA adapter.
8GB DDR2 memory
AMD Phenom Quad Core @ ~2.3GHz

If anyone could perhaps offer any ideas as to what the problem might be, please do. Thanks.

If you go on hackforums, talk to yin. I got my w7 off of him and it works fine. But you got to download about 15 files.
