Not necessary, don't be afraid to ask for help on anything basic in the programming sections.

Here's some helpful links for you, if you're looking to get into programming

http://www.w3schools.com/
http://www.tizag.com/phpT/
http://www.vbtutor.net/vbtutor.html
http://www.sthurlow.com/python/lesson01/
http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/

Judging by what you're asking for help on, and how you ask for it, people will pick up on how to explain it to you, and not just throw a bunch of complex code at you and expect you to understand.

The whole of this forum is dedicated to offering support. There's no need for a "newbie area", just use the normal forums to receive help in your desired area. In your case, programming. There are some basic tutorials and of course not so basic, but over time you'll learn IF you put the time in. You can't expect to learn a programming language within a day and know it all off by heart. It takes time and lots of it.

The above links that Cida has posted should start you off. First of all, think about what programming language you want to learn and then take it from there. We can't tell you which to learn, it's about personal preference more than anything.

Good luck!
