Package problem
#1
What is an alternate way of installing packages on ubunut 9.04? I would normally do it by typing:

sudo apt-get install name of package. But up until a week ago that way no longer works? Anyone else have this same problem or anything similar to this?

What error are you getting, fixing it is better than finding an alternative; and I don't think there is any alternatives anyway seeing as all the GUI installer shiznit in Ubuntu uses apt-get in the backend anyway.

If it can't find the package, then probably that package is not in the Ubuntu repos. What package is it? I have the Ubuntu repos, the GetDeb repo, and the Medibuntu repo on my machine. If you let me know the package, I can try it out and let you know. Big Grin
