Kerala: Some tourist attractions
#1
Kerala, lying between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats -- between north latitudes 8°18' and 12°48' and east longitudes 74°52' and 77°22'-- is known for its scenic beauty. A lot of tourists come to the place to explore its beauty, wildlife and heritage. The State has a coastal area which sprawls over about 600 km. It is also blessed with 44 rivers, of which 41 flow towards west and 3 flow towards east.
The eastern part of Kerala is highlands and the undulated hills offer a cool and salubrious climate to the visitors. The Western Ghats form a wall on this side of the State except at the Palakkad Gap, which is a natural break in the Ghats connecting the Palakkad district of Kerala with Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu. This Gap had helped facilitate interaction between Kerala and other parts of the country since ancient times. Various shades of green, gorges and deep cut valleys add to the lure of the eastern mountainous regions in Kerala. The tropical evergreen and semi-evergreen forests and the rare flora and fauna attract a lot of nature lovers and researchers. Apart from the coastal regions and the mountains in Kerala, the central midlands also lure many with their enchanting beauty and heritage.
Another factor that adds to Kerala’s charm is its traditional medical system, Ayurveda. Every year thousands of tourists approach various kerala ayurvedic resorts to have the much-popular Ayurvedic experience.

Wayanad is a mountain range full of lush green forest. It is not hot like a city. However, the best time to visit Wayanad would be just after the monsoon, say, after September. If you love nature, try August-September. Kerala receives very heavy rains during June and July and Wayanad being hilly and forest terrain, would be receiving even heavier rains.

South India is charming in its own particular path, from the reviving backwaters to the alleviating hill stations or the heavenly hallowed places; the states here are loaded with novel encounters that are certain to bait the visitors. The South Indian states Kerala and Tamil Nadu are famous for its Tourists attraction. In my point of view, Kerala has lots of places to attract tourists and in Tamil Nadu, Ooty is one of the beautiful tourist destinations and all season are best time to visit Ooty, because it has a pleasant year round condition like Munnar in Kerala.
